In using the Journey Of A Wanderess website, online store, and/or purchasing a custom made design, you agree to comply with the following terms and conditions.

Phrases, names, and terms used on the Journey Of A Wanderess website, online store and/or social media, is inclusive of (but not limited to) “Melanie Hilder”, “Melanie Joy”, “I”, “me”, “my”, “myself”, “her”, and “she” all of which refer to the registered business of Journey Of A Wanderess, as well as Melanie Hilder as a sole trader.

Warranty

All jewellery purchased from Journey Of A Wanderess (whether this be via the online store or by appointment for a bespoke piece) will come with a thirty (30) day warranty, from date of receipt. The warranty covers any clear manufacturing fault or defect in the piece and will be assessed and determined faulty by Melanie Hilder. The warranty does not cover any damage or negligence inclusive of but is not limited to; knocks, scratches, chain breakages, broken earring posts, knocked claws, or damaged stones.

Warranty will be void should any work be completed by another jeweller.

Melanie Hilder wants you to love your new jewellery piece! Should you have any concerns, please read the below terms and conditions. Wear and tear will organically occur on any jewellery piece. However, if you are not completely satisfied, please contact Melanie Hilder via email; hello@journeyofawanderess.com.au and include photos of your jewellery.

Repairs/Resizing

Any jewellery piece that is determined faulty by Melanie Hilder will be repaired free of charge within the thirty (30) day warranty. Full assessment of the jewellery piece will be made by Melanie Hilder. Any repairs after this time will incur a fee to cover any agreed work that is required.

All sizing is clearly stated for each jewellery piece listed on the Journey Of A Wanderess online store, including ring sizes and chain lengths. It is the clients’ sole responsibility to obtain the correct sizing when purchasing a ring, necklace, or bracelet. You can find helpful charts here should you need any guidance.

Within the first seven (7) days, from date of receipt, Melanie Hilder will honour a complementary resize for any necklace or bracelet that requires the chain to be shortened, and for any ring that is required to go down in size (no more than two sizes down). Shipping costs will be at the expense of the client. For all other resizing, appropriate costs will be quoted and charged to the client.

Returns/Exchanges

All jewellery pieces purchased from the Journey Of A Wanderess online store comes with a seven (7) day exchange or refund guarantee, from date of receipt.

As bespoke jewellery pieces are custom made to your specific needs, Journey Of A Wanderess does not accept exchanges or refunds for bespoke pieces, unless there is a manufacturing fault or defect. For an exchange or refund to be honoured, the bespoke jewellery piece must be determined faulty within the first seven (7) days, from date of receipt.

All returns and exchanges (including purchases made via the online store or by appointment for a bespoke piece) must be in original condition and original packaging, and cannot have any evidence of wear marks, scratches, knocks, or abrasions.

The Journey Of A Wanderess exchange or refund policy does not accept change of mind.

Shipping costs are non-refundable, and any return postage fee incurred will be at the expense of the client.

Shipping/Packaging

All jewellery purchased from Journey Of A Wanderess is shipped via Australia Post in an express parcel, that is registered with a tracking number and requires a signature upon delivery. All postage has a fee of $15 and can be posted anywhere in Australia. Whilst Melanie Hilder takes utmost care, the timeframe for delivery is not within her control and may take between 2-7 business days for arrival (possibly longer for rural areas). Melanie Hilder cannot take responsibility for delayed parcels, however, will follow up with all delayed packages.

Melanie Hilder uses sustainable and eco-friendly packaging from Noissue when shipping your beautiful jewellery pieces. The Noissue mailers are all 100% compostable and can be placed into your home compost. For more information, please visit their website; www.noissue.com.au

With her love of timber, Melanie Hilder has carefully selected handcrafted timber boxes for all jewellery pieces valued over $2,000. These boxes are designed and created in New Zealand by Give Packaging, from beautiful sustainable timbers that are harvested under strict management systems.

Payment Options

Journey Of A Wanderess online store supports Stripe, which is a secure payment processor and will accept all major debit and credit cards.

When purchasing a bespoke jewellery piece, you are welcome to choose from the below payment options;

· Square Reader; all major credit and debit cards are accepted (Visa, Mastercard, American Express) as well as Apple Pay and Google Pay.

· Direct Bank Transfer; details as stated on invoice

· Layby; Melanie Hilder offers a three-month layby. A 50% deposit is required, and the remaining 50% balance can be paid off weekly/fortnightly via bank transfer over the three-month period. The bespoke jewellery piece will be created in the normal timeframe of 6-8 weeks. Should you wish to collect the jewellery piece sooner, full payment is required. Please note; the 50% deposit will be forfeited and Melanie Hilder reserves the right to place the custom made jewellery piece on the Journey Of A Wanderess online store, should the layby be cancelled.

This is inclusive of widths, thicknesses, textures, and gemstone colouring. All products have been described as accurately as possible and will be finished to Melanie Hilder’s high-quality standards.

Pricing

Melanie Hilder reserves the right to change the price of goods, introduce new products, and commence or end product promotions on the Journey Of A Wanderess online store at any time.
