Bully Zero

“We are stronger when we stand together”

I believe we all have a choice to make a difference in this world.

Maybe we’re all born with a purpose, maybe we’re not. Or maybe it’s the traumatic events in our lives that help us decide what our purpose in life is. Maybe it’s these traumatic events that help us decide if we want to be a kind human being because we know what it’s like when people are unkind to us.

For me, I chose to spread love and kindness to the people around me.

After experiencing bullying at both school and in the workplace, I decided my purpose in life is to help prevent others from experiencing what I have. I am honoured to be an advocate for Bully Zero and to be one of their Bully Zero HIROs.

I first connected with Louise from Bully Zero, in August 2021 and we chatted back and forth via phone and email. I originally reached out with a plan in mind to raise awareness and funds through Journey Of A Wanderess and was delighted to be asked to be one of their HIROs.

I absolutely love what Bully Zero stands for and that they are an Australian based organisation, helping Australians of all ages.

A big thank you to Louise and to the Bully Zero team for your warm welcome! What an amazing role you have; spreading awareness about the impacts of bullying and the short-term and long-term effects it can have on an individual.

“Bully Zero works to prevent and reduce bullying through evidence-based education, advocacy and support for all communities across Australia. We operate on the front line, delivering educational programs that inform and empower everyone to put an end to bullying. As seen on Ten News, Sky News, The Project and more, Bully Zero has presented to over 400,000 parents, children, and teachers, and is a Trusted eSafety Provider.”

“We focus on three areas to prevent bullying, and deliver our mission and vision:

Education: We deliver a range of evidence based educational programs to young people, parents, teachers and employees to help prevent bullying.

Advocacy: We advocate to governments and other key stakeholders for changes to policy and legislation that play a part in reducing bullying. We develop research on bullying and raise awareness of the issue and its impact amongst the Australian community.

Support: We provide evidence based support, information and advice to the Australian community on how they can stop any bullying that they or their children may be experiencing.”

I am super excited to share with you, that I have developed a mini collection of jewellery pieces to help raise funds for Bully Zero.

After deciding that the launch of my ‘Together As One’ Collection would be a perfect fit to help raise funds for Bully Zero, Louise also agreed the name and meaning was very fitting as their saying is “we are stronger when we stand together”.

The ‘Together As One’ Collection symbolises that we are all one; that we belong together as one; and that even though we may look different, on the inside we are all just the same and want the same things; love, peace, freedom.

Featuring the cuttlefish cast texture and highlighted with a high polished profile, the solid circle actually fits perfectly within the hollow circle, creating one - ‘Together As One’.
